Craft Story - Folk Art Toran
A decorative door hanging for good vibes for Indians of Hindu believe. Its also know as Bandhanwal. Traditionally its made from Mango leaf’s or Marigold flowers hanged on a string for any auspicious occasion. The origin of Torans trace back to Hindu Mythological work (Puran). Its the first thing which greats guest arriving for occasion. It is also believed to be put on doors to attract Goddess Lakhsmi.
While with times the making of Torans has adapted regional art & craft taste. It been used across the country in different art signature.
